back from comp! stoked! woooo! hahaha. quite happy with my run lah. i almost cleared my 360 on the box which i didn't intend to. it was damn fun lah. haha. but quite rabak. still a little nerve wrecking with all eyes on you on the course. oh well. it was wayyyyyy better than my first which i like got 2nd last and stopped riding for awhile. like 1 or 2 months?

then came back. then started riding again. and for the past week i've been riding everyday in preparation for this comp. the box jump felt pretty good. and now i don't think i'm afraid of airs anymore cos the one on the box jump was like nothing i've felt before. i think at least 3 or 4 seconds hang in the air? lol. shiok lah.

well, rode "Shitty" Link and Somerset Skatepark just now. pretty fun. "Shitty Link" allows us to refine out bike control cos like whenever we just turn, we fall. lol. its like that bad lah. and like airing the 6 foot at Somerset isn't so scary anymore and i can feel that i got more flow now and that i'm going higher alr. sweeeeeet! tailwhips coming. i'm a wuss like not daring to jump onto the pedals lah. like chicken. can land already but don't want to land. wtf.

was lazy to blog the past few days. lol. i rode town on thursday night, the day right before final submission for Graphic Design. well, i kinda screwed up my final assignment. oh well. i hope it isn't that bad. lol. i hope. xD

took mrt to town with my bike. lol. i swear everyone was staring at me. i bet they thought it was a bomb threat or something but were just too chicken to voice it out. Singaporeans... lol. xD

rode somerset skatepark for a bit. i swear at one point of time i thought i was gonna die. i was airing the quarter pipe. i dunno how and why but i just went for it this one time and i flew straight up instead of sideways and in the air, i got scared. it was really really high. i think about 3-4 feet off the top. i was going like "ohshiteohshiteohshite!!!!!!" in my mind. i seriously thought i was gonna crash somehow or another. but someway, somehow, i landed it clean? what? lol. its been a long time since i really got so scared during riding.

right on! so went on to cycle around town. really fun! like exploring like that. well, me being me, who doesn't really try to take note of how to get around Singapore, gets us cycling around aimlessly. lol. we weren't able to find our way around and kept asking for directions in order not to get lost. found a new spot somewhere where the security doesn't bother about us riding outside the building. lol. and we frequently went back to clarke quay to check the chicks out. and there was this jazz bar which i want to chill at. it was really really nice with the live performance and all. anyone up for it? woot woot woot! i'm back from KL! haha. tired seh. actually i got back quite some hours ago but i was lazy to blog lah. and now i want to sleep alr. anyway, here's the whole story.

so off we go on the train from Tanjong Pagar to KL Sentral. yay. :D
we actually had to sleep with our bikes for the night. lol.

there was supposed to be a competition at University of Malaya but the University played us out on the lodging and the initial plans that the told us of. bitches... we tried cycling off with our luggage but got lost so we had to take CABS to Mount Kiara skatepark. quite alright lah. i was still kinda scared of the ramps there at first. lol. i suck. then got more used to the ramps there soon. well. it was way better than the June trip where i couldn't ride properly at all. we chilled and rode.

we now had a serious problem as we couldn't find any place for lodging. like wtf. its all because the University thing screwed up lah. i'm too lazy to explain. its like sriously too fucked up to explain. serious dilemma. luckily, Eric, one of the co-owners of Scary Bikes called to ask if we were settled down yet and there you go, out saviour. lol. he went to check up some cheap hotels, make some calls and viola, cheap hostel to stay in. RM 152 a night for 7 people altogether. how cheap can it get? and best of all, it was located like 10 mins cycle away from Shah Alam skatepark.

off we went. damn happily. arrived at Carlton Holiday Hotel. sweet. checked in with our bikes and went off to dinner at Tesco. 5 mins walk away. woot. lovely place to eat and shop. i bought like many shirts from there lah. and ate to my heart's content. :D

lepak lepak. then watched vids and then bed.

next few days was just riding and riding and riding. i managed to try lots of new stuff that i never tried the last time i went to Shah Alam skatepark. stuff like the full pipe and transfers and shit like that. haha.

there was one day that the hotel called us while we were riding and told us we had to pack up and go because some guest complaint that we were riding in the corridors. we went back and talked to the hotel staff and even managed to extend our stay a day more so that we could ride even more. how cool is that. the gift of the glib. lol.

on the last day, we checked out and went off the KL Sentral to buy train tickets. quite packed but we managed to get front seats and slot our bikes into some random spaces. arrived at Tanjong Pagar station at about 10. home sweet home. great trip. great experience. (:

well, yesterday, our Video Fundamentals group went into production for our final assignment. all i can say is, "FUN!" ahahaha. we actually went to shoot in the Japanese Cemetary Park. its like a memorial sort of lah but at night it was pretty scary. we got used to it soon but still quite freaky. haha. all for the grades!

anyway, our first shot in Brandon's house took like 10 over takes lah! haha. still getting used to shooting and all. and we did up till the 3rd scence and realised the video ate in too much so we had to redo the 2nd scene. it might sound easy (thats what i thought at first too) but it wasn't. oh yea. the worst part is the in-camera editing. lol. damn difficult lah. we're not allowed to use any software to edit the clip and just use the camera to cut and continue. the filiming in the cemetary at night was kinda fun though. xD

and halfway through it, we went to eat at Chomp Chomp near the Serangoon Gardens area and Wan Chan, one of our group mate's relative had a store there and we had a really really good meal. thanks ah Wan Chan. :D

so after the meal, we continued taking till like 2 or 3am. the camera ran out of battery into our last scene. lol. so yeah. and after that, we were in dilemma cos of the time limit. i checked my mail today and Julian Siau said for it to be at least 2 mins. woooo! back on track.


saw my really really old photos like 10 years ago. lol. so funny lah. and my friends and cousins and all were still so young and innocently cute. ahahaha. i shall scan the photos in sometime soon and upload them. :D



wooo. super tired today. went to Plaza Singapura with my groupmates to do up the Video Fundamentals Assignment. i was later by like 45 mins and Brandon was like late by dunno how many hours! i forgot. lol. like damn bored while waiting lah. i should brought my laptop to kill boredom.

anyway i bought some capalang elbow pad from Daiso. well, the padding is pretty good i would say. haha. i tried it for a little at Macdonalds while we were doing the rough storyboard. haha. now looking for capalang knee pads/shanks that aren't too bulky so i can wear pads unders my skinnys. (:

and i've set my mind on buying the Creative Zen Stone Plus. some 2gb mp3 player which is freaking small and only costs $99. just nice for me. it looks hardy too. so i'm guess it wouldn't die on me so easily. (:

just came back from riding and i really can't wait till the KL trip. damn. i'll be missing lessons lah but then, think about the experience! power! hahaha.

well well. Graphic Design class and video shoot tmr! yay! i'm actually quite excited about it. hehe.



alright. first things first. i changed my template. yay to that. :) and some people have complained that my font was too small to read so i upsized it. (you should be able to read it better now. if not check your eyes. :P)

alright. today, class was as usual. learnt some photoshop stuffs. proceeding on to video lessons. Julian Siau had something on and couldn't make it to class so some other lecturer took over for a little and looked at our storyboard. our group got the green light to proceed so yep, we might be doing some shopping for props and shooting or so tmr. just probably. i wanna ride tmr though so not too much time dedicated to doing the video shoot.

i still feel that i'm pretty lucky to have Brandon and Joanna in my group. :D Aud's turning all emo cos' she doesn't like her group and keeps going "If life is fair, why do Roses have thorns". its pretty fucking hilarious but it starts to get irritating. i shall play more of Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girl to irritate her. ahahaha. x)

was supposed to work today but didn't go. couldn't find any replacements too. i'm having stomach flu. feels quite bad lah. i'm losing my appetite. i don't know whether i'm hungry or full now so i just eat and eat. lol. jiat lat lah. i think the stomach flu is the cause of too much starvation, leading to gastric. and then straight away eating the omelette with oyster in it. and i guess the oyster wasn't cooked properly too. i've been having diahorrea for the past 2 days lah. sian.

so went to pass Joshua my seat and slacked for a little, went for dinner and here i am, back home.

on to school. did storyboarding today with the rest of my group. it was pretty fun seeing how we came up with the story. i think it'll exceed our time limit of 90 seconds. and what they call an "epic". lol. we'll see tomorrow whether our lecturer accepts our idea. we've got all the camera angles and the way we're gonna shoot the clip down. :D

oh yea. we have to do it quick as one of our group members are leaving for Malaysia on Saturday night and returning on Monday night while i leave for KL to ride on Tuesday morning and return on the following Sunday. so that means we have only till the end of this week to do up everything. lol.

the other thing is that i was sleep deprived last night! apparently, someone called me at 3.30am last night/morning (whichever you consider it) and told me that her illustrator had exceeded the trial version and that she could not save her work. -.- so what could i do. i got her to come to my house to use my laptop to do it while i try to get some sleep. lol.

sadly, the lights were on so i couldn't really sleep. maybe just a few winks. ahhh. so little sleep lah. :/ sian. and i just woke up. lol. that nap refreshed me a little. but i'm still tired lah. it seems as though i'm falling sick soon. oh well riding cures all illnesses. at least it does for me. haha. and thats just what i'm gonna do later. and today was rather frustrating right before photography. we had to print, paste, burn cds and all for our final submission and guess what? my stupid laptop had some issues and decided to not function properly at the last minute and not burn my cd right. and i really meant last minute such that we were all late for class. hurray...

anyway we got the slideshows on and over with and thats it. we're done with photography fundementals. i don't think i'll get quite a good grade for it though. i suck... zzzz...

after that i prepared to go to Errol's house to fix up my parts to an old frame since i didn't have a bike to ride. it didn't go too well. so i decided on just getting the old bike he had. it was a BOMB. lol. solid as heck and so heavy. oh well. it was fun reverting to old school bikes.



rode around and had some fun. haha. well i guess right now, 3/4 of my life is based on my friends. thank you all very much for being there. i guess what i need now is just more time hanging around and chilling with my friends. :DD

first things first. dammit lah TerribleOne. played me out. the frame was supposed to be shipped in last month. and just a few days ago, it was only ready to be shipped. so up till now, i'm not even sure if its shipped or not. zzz. fuckk. i need to ride. i want to ride. and there's a upcoming roadshow on the 9th and 10th for Adventure Singapore, the first ever huge extreme sports event in Singapore. the roadshow is to promote the events. and i think i'll be in the demo. and not having a bike to ride sucks. i guess i'll be reverting to my old Haro frame for the moment. and if the T1 does not come in time for the competition and the practice on the 15th and 16th, i think i'll be using that as well. zzz. fancy using that for the comp....

and the next thing is, since i already applied for the job, the guys at Coffee Club might be calling me over any time and i have to go as its my first few days of work. i can't tell them i won't be free as that will give them the impression that i'm like wtf. apply for the job and yet not free? ahhh.. dammit. how how how. what if it clashed with my committments. what if. what if. what if?

and the thing is that i'm strapped for cash. i'm broke, i have debts to be paid and i need to work. and on the other hand, i need to ride. someone tell me what to do. and these few days, i've been sitting around the house like some dumb fool. waiting for Coffee Club to call me and without a bike to ride. what do i do? sleep and stone the whole day away.

well, somehow i didn't know it was Vesak Day, which meant the school wasn't open, or at least the staff was on leave. it meant that i couldn't return the camera! and the bad thing was that i was leaving for KL on fri morning! ahhh. so i contacted Errol, but he was working and wouldn't be home till around 1 or so. i contacted Audrey but somehow after awhile she stopped replying. -.- So i asked Kaysee and yay! it was already 9+ when i went to pass the camera to her. damn relieved to get the cam off my hands lah. so then when i came home, Joanna, Kaysee and i discussed about the Crowbar Awards thingy. and this was what we came up with.

haha. and i only had 3 1/2 hours of sleep before waking up and leaving for KL. wah. i tell you the journey was so fun. there was Errol, Danny and Farhan along with me in the car. so shiok lah. like party. and it felt like Megatour. haha. then Luke, in Fabian's car, being an idiot started throwing wet tissue towards our car when we were behind. sadly, all the tissue got stuck to his bike that was hung behind the car. ahahaha. and all the rest missed. when our car got the chance to overtake them, we went in front and Farhan said he was gonna throw the bread that looked like puke. i didn't believe him but he really stuck his whole head out of the window and threw it. but it hit their bumper and went under the wheel. damn. imagine if it hit right on the windscreen! ahahahaha. then the war continued. and we played and played and sung in the car to the tunes of 92.2 FM. it was some radio station in Malaysia. power lah the hits! walao. haha.

so at around 3.30pm, we reached Mont Kiara skatepark! woohooo! padded up and started riding. but it started to pout heavily. despite having a shelter, the park still got partially wet because the sides allowed water to splash in. and here's the catch. the shelter actually cost more than the ramps! LOL. all of the quarter pipes were at least 6 feet high and steep as heck. i had a little trouble riding them initially but i got the feel of it after awhile. the mini ramp was fun lah! haha. i sessioned it throughout. then the other guys were sessioning the 6 foot spine. thats damn sick man. lol. the spine is crazy!

after Mont Kiara, we headed to our hotel. Crown Regency. it was a 5 stair "suite". it was damn power! it had a hall and 2 rooms. omg. haha. the other scary bike guys hadn't arrived yet. we had fun jumping on the bed, pillow fights and lots more stuff that i shan't say here. lol.

dinner was good. the Ramly's at Malaysia is SO SO SO GOOD. ahhh shit. i want more. the stuff at Singapore's pasar malams are rubbish lah. haha. so after dinner, Errol, Danny, Farhan and i went into this pub to drink. i finally drank my first whole bottle of beer. haha. cool stuff. and yes, i was red. very freaking red. lol. we walked through the whole pub and there were a whole lot of hot chicks in there lah. haha. so we went back to the hotel. fooled around with the other guys, playing some stuff. damn crappy and funny lah. hahahahaha. then returned back to our room for a meeting and then to bed.

next day we woke up, went to Shah Alam skatepark. omg. the lines were sick! concrete park and you could just flow through the park. they had pools, bowls and all. damn power lah! wah! haha! the carving the walls part was damn damn damn damn shiok. like wall ride. then you could hear the wind rushing. i enjoyed it all lah! except for the part my front tire skidded on some leaves and sent me flying into the side of the bowl. zzz. i literally flew off my bike at some super high speed. thanks to my paddings, i came out of the crash unscathed. then Shah and i were trying tailwhips towards the end of the session. aiya shit lah. i landed on my balls a lot of time cos i kept missing the pedals. either straight to the seat or straight to the tire. zzz. pain bodoh... haha.

so after Shah Alam, we headed for home! wooo! damn shiok lah. we stopped at the stylish R&R station. then Danny and i ate KFC. the KFC there. omg. the chicken is full of meat! unlike the ones in Singapore, skinny and all bones! wah power lah power lah. so we drove back at like 140-170km/h? lol. cool lah. like super shiok. fast only. haha.

and here i am, after dismantling my bike as i am selling my frame tmr, finished bathing and slacking away as usual. (:



alright. today, han wei and i went to renew our passports. we went there relatively early but still, later than planned. still, it was really empty and the entire process took like less than 15 mins. lol. after that, we slacked around, ate and all. then we saw nizam and his girlfriend! haha. how coincidental. so bla bla bla.

at 2, a few of us were meeting at bugis station to go and take photos for the crowbar awards. haha. in the end, only left joanna and me in the team. and probably her friend adeline. took quite a lot of photos lah. a pity my batteries died on me. i shoulda charged them up. damn. oh well. serves me right for being lazy just to charge the batteries up. lol. we went to haji lane and then to clarke quay to get photos. well, i can actually say some of the photos turned out pretty good. (:

and on friday, scary bikes, 20 inch circle and friends will be going on a trip to KL skateparks. a big YAY to that. i'm so excited. i can't wait! and another piece of good news. my T1 frame is being shipped alr! hurray!

tmr is gonna be a friggin long and hectic day for me. i don't know how to manage my time! its so packed lah! omg. i have to return the cam to sch, go for SA interview, service and tune up my bike, pack for KL trip, go for job application at coffee club at siglap and go collect my pay from play.

and lastly, the bite of the day. this is so friggin funny. i bet you'll be laughing away. lol. if u don't, ur probably having a bad day or u don't know what humour is. xD




yay! school's out! haha. finally. on thurs, a few of us actually stayed back at school illegally to finish up our 3D Art final assignments. omg. haha. then we got caught by the security guard. and the guard was like some idiot lah. talk shit and all. luckily i could control myself, frustrated as i was with my piece of work. if not i would have just flared right back and him and made sure he shut up and probably end up being expelled or smth. lol. its only the first block of school by the way and we've stayed back overnight? haha. oh well it was fun. and also frustrating for me. so many things went wrong lah. luckily Aud helped me out. if not i would have totally given up. thanks ah! (: and then we got out matric cards confiscated, couldn't get out of the room and all till 7+am. all of us went home damn tired. and had to come back by 9am to do our presentations at e-space. lol. wah. damn tired and all lah. mine didn't go so well i guess. :/ oh well. thats what happens when you don't plan and manage your time properly. lesson learnt. lol.

well, its the holidays now. i think i'll be planning to take part in some competitions to widen my perspectives and get more experience and fresh ideas? haha. anyone wants to join me? :P

and this afteroon, i woke up, made myself some lunch and watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. its was soooooooooooooooo nice lah. superb show. and i love this quote from it. "How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot? The world forgetting by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Each pair accepted, and each wish resigned." i would give the show like 10/5 if i could. i can say that its the best love movie i have ever watched! guys, please go watch it if you haven't already done so! oh yea. it stars Jim Carey, Kate Winslet, Kristen Dunst and Elijah Wood. :D



ahhhh! today was so tiring! haha. i got a lift from my dad to school. thanks dad. (: watched road fools rock & roll tour on my lappy and also the old school video. then proceeded to the workshop to do some work. the class was pretty empty until around 10.30 where everyone started flocking in and continuing on their work.

in the afternoon, we were actually so bored of working that we took random vids. and those were really really REALLY hilarious. i think i'm gonna get super abs from watching the vids, laughing away. haha. till now, many people have watched the video and laughed their heads off. lmao. i should be posting the vids up pretty soon. after i finish up all my work lah. haha.

i did up my base and some figurines. at first i couldn't work because of Kaysee and Joanna playing with my figurine and the blue ranger figurine, Billy that i brought. lmao. i was laughing like crap lah. hahaha. and my figurine actually got "disfigured" from all the playing with. hahaha.

and the communication design ideas reading portfolio went quite smoothly actually. without fardly. not that i mean to be bad or whatever. but i feel that he's not really contributing to the group. just Errol, Aud and me. oh well. we managed and we're gonna be wearing semi-formal tmr. hahaha.

well i came to a droopy start today. i didn't feel like waking up at all. like lazing in bed all the way till 8.30? which was the time i usually left house? haha. so i reluctantly left for school lah. i was darned tired. dunno why. reached at 9.30. then i stoned in school and all until i went to start on my work at the workshop. shit lah. damn tedious can. cut all the wood. haha. then bla bla bla. i'm lazy to go into details. so i managed to do up part of my base of the 1x1m sculpture today.

i'm not really satisfied with my progress. ): i need to buck up! so tmr i'll be in school earlier than Audrey! haha. anyway Errol and i were nominated to join the Student Ambassadors by Tia i guess. when we were stepping out of the workshop, Vaanathi was outside and just went to Errol and me and said. you're Errol right? and you're Zhen Yao. Errol and i were like "huh?". lol. so she explained it to us a little and bla bla bla. lazy to go into details again. after that we pretty much slacked for the entire day.

i got 22/30 for my writing portfolio for communication design ideas. i was pretty happy with that. at least all the effort that i put in had paid off. haha. yay. :D we also presented in communication design ideas which went pretty ok. Errol and i managed to "sell our magic stones" to Felix. hahahaha. we're just suckers. xD on the other hand, one of our group members is actually making things difficult for us. that sucks pretty bad. now i know how the seniors feel when they say they get a uncooperative group partner. D:<

at night, Aud, Errol and i went out to get dinner and ta pau back to the studio to eat. lol. and we saw this carton of green tea for sale so we bought it back to the studio as well. ahahaha. now we have our own private stash of green tea in the studio. :P we talk cocked and all. play some lame "shoot, shag, marry" game which was pretty funny. lol. so we pretty much slacked the night away till we went home. alright i'm off to bed. i'm so looking forward to tmr. i have a good spur of enthusiasm going on. lol. i'll do up lots of my project tmr! i want to get into the Director's List! :D

oh yea. i almost forgot. during the slacking, i found some really powderful english. i wonder who wrote that note.



and guess what i found. a new super villian! Penis Man! LOL! he's making an on-screen debut in the old school power rangers. lol.
